Well, you can move Abu Dhabi back up to the top of your list! Abu Dhabi has recently become more autism friendly. The airport has a sensory room. The pod-style rooms may be exactly what your autistic family needs when you arrive and before you head back home. Plan an Autism Friendly Vacation at Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi
Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi is an indoor theme park. This climate-controlled area is perfect because it means you can enjoy every minute of your family vacation without worrying about the weather. I mean, we all know how it is when we think it might rain. Or it might be too hot.
At Warner Bros World, your family can visit characters like Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, and Superman. Those characters, and many others, will be part of all the entertainment and other family-friendly experiences.
The Six Areas of Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi
Metropolis
The Metropolis area is filled with superhero power! There are four rides here that are dedicated to the Justice League, Superman, and other superheroes. There are five stores for purchasing all your superhero souvenirs too.
Add in the three dining options and you won’t find yourself hungry throughout your adventures. You will find shopping and dining options in every section, so don’t think you need to tackle all your shopping and dining here.
Cartoon Junction
In Cartoon Junction, there are five rides dedicated to characters like Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and Scooby Doo. The kids will love every area of Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi. However, this section will let them make decisions on their own if they want. Especially if they choose to conquer the activities at the ACME Factory.
Gotham City
The rides in Gotham City feature Batman, The Joker, and The Riddler. Use caution before entering The Joker Funhouse. This ride is a mad maze that has a few scary sections. Your autistic child may get overstimulated during this one. You may want to go through it first to see how it is.
Dynamite Gulch
The three rides in Dynamite Gulch feature The Jetsons, Marvin the Martian, Wile E Coyote, and RoadRunner. The kids will love trying to beat the RoadRunner during a race!
Bedrock
There is only one ride over in Bedrock and it features the prehistoric family, The Flintstones. This will be the perfect spot to stop for lunch. Especially if you think the kids will eat a “brontosaurus” burger or ribs.
Warner Bros Plaza
There are no rides in the Warner Bros Plaza. This area is packed with plenty of shops and restaurants though. You may want to visit this plaza on your way out of the park at the end of the day.
New Bonus Area
Okay, so above I mentioned there are six areas at Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi. That will be changing soon though because Harry Potter is being added! This is exciting news for Harry Potter fans and their families.
Sensory Area at Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi
We know that it can be easy for an autistic child to get overstimulated during a visit to a theme park. Or anywhere, actually. This is why I was so happy to hear that Warner Bros World added a sensory area at its park.
The sensory area includes soothing LED color spectrum lighting, Bluetooth sounds, and a feature that allows guests to control the ambiance of the space. This means you can make changes that will benefit your autistic child the most.
If you need to utilize the sensory area while visiting Warner Bros World, all you need to do is talk to a person at Guest Services.
The only downside to this space at the moment is the fact that only one child and their guardian can use it at a time. Hopefully, they will create more spaces once they see how popular they will be amongst autistic families.
Stay on Property at Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi
If you really want to experience an autism-friendly vacation at Warner Bros World, I recommend you stay on the property. Staying at the Warner Bros hotel will ensure you are close enough to all the action.
Yet, you can easily escape to your accommodations for a break if your family needs one.
Plus, this hotel has dining options, a kids club, a splash pad, and two swimming pools. Oh, and there is a spa if you can escape on your own for an hour or two.
You aren’t going to want to skip all the fun your family can have during a visit to Warner Bros World in Abu Dhabi. It isn’t difficult to make a vacation at this theme park autism friendly.
