Aloha! E Komo Mai, I'm Dina!
As a mother of a special needs child, I know all too well the countless hours of research we, as parents, put into ensuring our vacations are tailored to our needs. Countless emails and phone calls with a toddler pulling the phone away from me or spilling Cheerios on my laptop. And before I found out my son is autistic, I battled with tantrums and emotional (fits) on vacations and resort visits, because I was unaware the environment I was presenting to him was affecting him negatively.
This is why I am here! I am here to help alleviate the stress that comes with planning a vacation, especially if your family requires special considerations. Vacation planning can be overwhelming, and sometimes scary if you’re planning a visit to a place you’ve never been to. And I’ve been to quite a few places!
your leisure time is extremely valuable!
As a busy family or a family with a loved one with special needs,
I grew up as an Air Force military child, enlisted in the Air Force when I graduated high school and now travel the country as a military spouse. My youth and young adult years were spent in Japan, learning the culture and language and falling in love with my husband at Tokyo Disney. My truest nature came forth during my time in Hawaii. Sun, sand and tank tops are what make my heartbeat! My newfound family lives in Turkey and visiting them just doesn’t come often enough.
And as a mother of two and wife of an active duty service member, I understand how life can overcome and push aside making plans for vacationing.
